Hi! I’m Toni – a 24-year-old Bulgarian wandering between strings, stories, and stations. I play guitar and just about any instrument with strings; I write (there’s a novel out there with my name on it!); I make theater and films to inspire social change; and I facilitate creative learning experiences as a freelancer. Two years ago, I founded Creatosphere – a nonprofit in Bulgaria that brings people together through art and empathy.

Oh, and I travel. A lot.
I’m passionate about getting lost in unfamiliar places, practicing languages that I don’t speak, finding out the secrets behind every new place that I visit, and meeting people to share my stories with, and hear what they want to share in return.
Trainhopper is a travel journal, a love letter to the voyages that I’ve been taking in my twenties. It’s a collection of stories written between train stations, airports. border crossings, and moments of quiet (and sometimes not so so quiet) wonder.
Here you can read the stories of my trips to other countries, during my Interrail adventures, stories I’ve gathered in places I’ve stayed for long, and places that I’ve just passed by.
As you read them, you might come across some thoughts I’ve had, perhaps some revelations, or conversations that have inspired me. These are fragments of life in motion – in an endless search for belonging, as I unravel my life in front of you, as the turtle that I am – always carrying my home on my back.
Hop aboard, and let’s see where the next track leads.
